Systematic literature electrocoagulation for wastewater treatment: Mini-review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Electrocoagulation is a method that can be used to remove pollutants and nutrients from liquid waste. This has been found for long time but exclusively recently developed wastewater treatment after lengthy process. colloidal materials, i.e., suspended solids, metals, other dissolved solids in wastewater. Several studies have shown electrocoagulation successfully operated various industrial wastewaters, bakery, chocolate, cork boiling, olive, biodiesel, Etc. review uses the systematic scale mini-review method. Literature was collected databases using Harzing's Publish or Perris Software analyzed by Mendeley Software. The results indicate received excellent attention development, effectiveness energy must consumed, research evolving show best performance of electrocoagulation.

Treatment of wastewater by electrocoagulation: a review.

The electrocoagulation (EC) process is an electrochemical means of introducing coagulants and removing suspended solids, colloidal material, and metals, as well as other dissolved solids from water and wastewaters. The EC process has been successfully employed in removing pollutants, pesticides, and radionuclides. This process also removes harmful microorganisms. More often during EC operation,...

Electrocoagulation as a Wastewater Treatment

Coagulation and flocculation are traditional methods for the treatment of polluted water. Electrocoagulation presents a robust novel and innovative alternative in which a sacrificial metal anode doses water electrochemically. This has the major advantage of providing active cations required for coagulation, without increasing the salinity of the water. Electrocoagulation is a complex process wi...

Automated Electrocoagulation System for Wastewater Treatment

There are two major ways to treat wastewater; it is either through chemical or non-chemical treatment. Both improve water quality, but do not make water safe for domestic use. Most firms or companies use coagulation treatment or chemical treatment. But the problem for this treatment is the selection of the best chemical to be used; it is expensive and frequent dosage adjustments are required to...

Nanofiltration for water and wastewater treatment – a mini review

The application of membrane technology in water and wastewater treatment is increasing due to stringent water quality standards. Nanofiltration (NF) is one of the widely used membrane processes for water and wastewater treatment in addition to other applications such as desalination. NF has replaced reverse osmosis (RO) membranes in many applications due to lower energy consumption and higher f...

Electrocoagulation process for textile wastewater treatment in continuous upflow reactor

This study investigates the influence of operating parameters (current density, detention time and time of electrolysis) on COD and color removals from a simulated basic dyebath effluent using electrocoagulation (EC) with iron electrodes in continuous flow mode. Till today, researchers are mainly focused on use of EC systems in batch processes. Looking to large quantities of wastewater from tex...
